Okay, not only is this a rare example of them errata'ing something to actually work instead of to just nerf things into uselessness, it also shows that the wording is so precise that "extra damage" adds to things which do not have damage rolls.latest errata wrote:Page 117: In the second sentence of the second paragraph of the Benefit line, replace “you gain a +2 bonus
to the damage roll” to “you deal 2 extra damage.” In the subsequent sentence, replace “bonus” with “extra damage” and remove the “+” symbols. This text needed to be changed to extra damage because the feat provides a benefit to grasping shards, which doesn’t have a damage roll until level 21.
No errata on thisHorned Helm descript from PHB 249 wrote: Property: Your charge attacks deal an extra 1d6 damage
PHB 287 wrote: CHARGE: STANDARD ACTION
Move and Attack: Move your speed as part of the
charge and make a melee basic attack or a bull rush
at the end of your move.
So a charge can include a bull rush, and a bull rush is has an attack, so a bull rush is a charge attack.PHB 287 wrote: BULL RUSH: STANDARD ACTION
Target: You can bull rush a target adjacent to you
that is smaller than you, the same size category as
you, or one category larger than you.
Strength Attack: Make a Strength attack vs. Fortitude
defense. Do not add any modifiers for the
weapon you use.
Hit: Push the target 1 square, and shift into the
vacated space.
And while bull rush does not have a damage roll, does the "extra damage" from Horned Helm count on an attack which does not do damage at all?
Compare and contrast to the wording of the property on Vanguard Weapon (Ad Vault, also unerrataed). If so, does gaining the 1d6 "extra damage" now count as a damage roll for purposes of stacking other chargetastic damage adders (powerful charge, gorebrute charge, vanguard weapon ,etc) ?
And if so, what's the crazy bull-rush build here?
